has gloss	eng: Triumph Publishing is a Nigerian newspaper publishing company based in Kano that publishes the English language Triumph newspaper. The Triumph Newspaper was established in June 1980. It has daily, weekend and Sunday editions. The company is owned by the Ministry of Information, Youth, Sports and Culture of the Kano State government. In January 2009 Kano State allocated the N8.9 million for the company's activities. In February 2000, the Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Saminu Turaki threatened to blacklist the Triumph Publishing Company because he alleged that it had published negative reports about Jigawa State, which had once been part of Kano State.
