has gloss	eng: This is the list of rulers of Bengal. Along with Bihar, much of Bengal was part of ancient kingdom of Magadha. As Magadha dynasties fell, Pala dynasty rose to power and followed by Sena dynasty. Then Bengal was ruled by the Muslim dynasties followed by the British. In 1947, Bengal was partioned making West Bengal part of India and the East Bengal part of Pakistan. East Bengal then became independent country, Bangladesh, following the Bangladesh Liberation War.
