has gloss	eng: Iron is one of the two main dialects of the Ossetic language , spoken in the Caucasus. The majority of the Ossetians speak Iron, notably in the East, South and Central parts of North Ossetia-Alania, while in the West the Digor dialect is much more prevalent. This dominance can be shown in the fact that written Ossetic is almost exclusively in the Iron dialect.

has gloss	fas: ایرونی یا ایرون(آسی: Иронау تلفظ: ایروناو) نام یکی از دو گویش اصلی زبان آسی در قفقاز است. زبان آسی یک زبان ایرانی است. بیشترینهٔ آلان‌ها این گویش را بکار می‌برند، بویژه در شرق جنوب و مرکز اوستیای شمالی-آلانیا. در صورتی که در غرب این جمهوری گویش دیگوری بیشتر رواج دارد. سیطرهٔ گویش ایرونی می‌تواند ناشی از این حقیقت باشد که زبان نوشتاری آسی به شدت مبتنی بر این گویش است.
