has gloss | eng: The Glenny Drive Apartments (Also known as Kensington Heights) were a Buffalo, New York, public housing project built during the expansion of public housing in the USA in the 1950s; it was abandoned in 1981. Currently, it is Buffalos only abandoned public housing development, located next to the Kensington Expressway (NY-33). The Buffalo Municipal Hosing Authoritys official explanation for the closing of the projects was that they lost federal funding for the maintenance of the buildings. In March 2007, $5,000,000 was granted to build senior housing on the site, with the demolition of the six buildings beginning in Fall. |
