has glosseng: The Fox Theater in Spokane, Washington is a 1931 Art Deco movie theater. It was designed by architect Robert C. Reamer, notable for his design of the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone Park. The theater originally opened on September 3, 1931. It closed in 2000 with the last movie shown being Gladiator starring Russell Crowe. It was almost torn down and turned into a parking lot but the theater was saved when it was bought by the Spokane Symphony. An extensive fund raising campaign began to provide funds needed to restore the theater.
