has glosseng: The Chief Secretarys Lodge , known since the 1970s as Deerfield, is the official residence of the United States Ambassador to Ireland. The Lodge is an 18th century building in the centre of the Phoenix Park in Dublin. It was originally built by Sir John Blaquiere, 1st Baron de Blaquiere then Chief Secretary for Ireland and taken over to become the Chief Secretarys Dublin residence in the late 18th century. Until the abolition of the post in 1922 it served as the official residence in Dublin of the Chief Secretary, the second-in-command in the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland's administration. The Chief Secretary played a role akin to a prime minister in the administration.

has glosspor: O Chief Secretary's Lodge (em irlandês: Lóisteáil na Phríomh-Rúnaí; em português: Pavilhão do Chefe de Secretaria), conhecido desde a década de 1970 como Deerfield, é a residência oficial do Embaixador dos Estados Unidos da América na Irlanda. O pavilhão é um edifício setecentista situado no centro do Phoenix Park, em Dublin. Foi construído originalmente por Sir John Blaquiere, 1º Barão de Blaquiere, então Chefe de Secretaria da Irlanda (Chief Secretary for Ireland), tendo-se tornado na residência oficial em Dublin do Chefe de Secretaria no final do século XVIII, função que desempenhou até à abolição do cargo, em 1922. O Chefe de Secretaria, número dois na hierarquia da administração do Lorde-tenente da Irlanda (Lord Lieutenant of Ireland), desempenhava um papel equivalente ao de primeiro-ministro naquela administração.
