has glosseng: Apley Court is a freshman dormitory at Harvard College. It was built in 1897. Located just south of Harvard Yard, the dormitory was once part of the "Gold Coast" of accommodations occupied by the wealthy elite students of Harvard University. Apley Court is grouped into the Ivy Yard. Famous Past Residents T. S. Eliot, a student at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, lived in Apley from 1909 to 1910. A plaque on his doorway bears witness to his residence.
