It was founded by Leslie H. Bowron, Jim Fox and Troy Fox. History The story of American Turbine begins in 1936 when a family business was founded to install pumps in the West Texas plains. Three generations of pump experience later, the founders of American Turbine began looking for a way to make existing pumps more efficient. It soon became apparent, however, that the only way of doing this effectively would be for this company to manufacture the pumps themselves. Thus in July 1975, American Turbine Pump Company, Inc. was founded in Lubbock, Texas, combining decades of experience in the pump industry.
